Polished and mature sound, it displayed a more complex, produced by Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois; the Unforgettable Fire was released in 1984. It received extensive play on radio and MTV bringing the band to a wider audience, they recorded the live album Under a Blood Red Sky on the War tour.
